Online registration ends noon on Friday, June 1st.  You may register as a walk-in on Monday, June 4th.

Below you will have an opportunity to register for the conference (including optional workshops).  See the schedule for details. The day is made up of many sessions running concurrently for you to attend as you like.  If you have questions, contact Patty Bruttomesso at localhistory@masshumanities.org.

FIRST
Select the "2018 Mass History CONFERENCE" event below and choose the appropriate conference fee.
Choices run from the standard $90/person, $60/student, and a group of three from the same organization for a total of $240 ($80/person), a group of four from the same organization for a total of $280 ($70/person), or a group of five from the same organization for a total of $350 ($70/person). Any other configuration requires you to use the mail-in registration form.  The group purchase choices below will charge you the entire amount and require names and email addresses of everyone.
Note: The $35 speaker rate is for confirmed speakers.

SECOND
After selecting the "2018 Mass History Conference" you can then choose to select which workshops, if any, you (or your group members) will be attending. Tell us how many are registering for a workshop (later you will be asked to tell us who will be attending). There are no additional charges for any of the workshops. All workshops have an attendance limit of 20 people.  [Note: Personal Digital Archiving Workshop is now FULL.]

THIRD
Please consider adding a tax-deductible contribution to your registration payment. Registration fees do not cover the total expenses of the conference. We depend on the generosity of individuals like you for the balance.

You must select the Mass History Conference box.  If you want to attend one of the optional workshops, check one of the workshop boxes.

Mark will share examples from his personal experience conducting the Nosotros, el pueblo oral history project. The two-hour workshop will blend lecture and demonstration with interactive engagement and Q&A, addressing how to develop a working relationship with a community beyond one's personal "bubble", developing culturally sensitive and appropriate questions in conjunction with the community, and how to identify interviewees and cultivate multilingual interviewers. Mark will provide practical resources that he has used to develop this robust multilingual oral history program and reflections on successes and challenges of the evolving collaboration.

Through funding from the National Historical Records and Publication Commission (NHPRC), the MA SHRAB will be holding a Personal Digital Archiving: Train the Trainer workshop. The goal of this workshop is to provide your institution with the tools and expertise to host your own personal digital archiving workshop in your community. This workshop will be facilitated by Veronica Martzahl, Digital Records Archivist at the Massachusetts Archives. This course is based on the workshop developed by the Society of Georgia Archivists, the Atlanta chapter of ARMA International, and the Georgia Library Association and on materials developed by the Council of State Archivists, the Library of Congress, and the National Archives and Records Administration.
